The Orion Nebula

With this nebula being visible to the naked eye in dark skies, it is theorized that the first ever human records date back to the ancient Mayans.

My original plan was to blend several different exposures from 10s to 240s in an attempt to tone down the core and pull out the faint, outer clouds. Unfortunately, my long exposure data from the night before was of poor quality, possibly due to haze or thin cloud cover. ⁣

Luckily, I took enough short exposures to allow me to pull out some of the fainter details.⁣
